Just like waiting for a Bus, Nothing happens and then two come along at once!

My placement at Material Lab sadly came to an end a couple of weeks ago. I had a great time and learnt a lot and will miss working in such a nice place with lovely people. I have since been applying for lots more placements and to my surprise I got some positive responses! :D This week has been like waiting for a bus... Nothing comes for a while but then more than one comes at once! I have been offered 3 design internships, been for an interview with a big design company and offered a paid placement! Scary/crazy times but also very exciting! So I will keep you informed with my decision...

100% Design is done for another year! I was happy to help out Material Lab with putting up and taking down their stand. I was able to do a bit of design work on some magnetic flooring they had on display. Hope everyone liked it!

Tent London

Tent is now over! Thank you to everyone that visited our stand and for all the great responses. We had a very busy time but also had a lot of fun! Until next year! :D

Private View

Last night was the Private View to the 'Made in GB' show at Material Lab. It was a great night and thank you to everyone that came. It was really nice discussing my work with you and coming up with some new ideas to work on! The show is still open 9 till 5.30 until Friday for anyone that didn't manage to make it. Next week is London Design Week! It has come around very quickly but I'm very excited to be a part of it. I will be exhibiting my work at Material Lab, celebrating the best in British Design for their 'Made in GB' show, along side some other great designers! Come along to the private view on Tuesday 18th September where we will all be; It would be great to hear what you think! Material Lab

After a couple of interviews I have got my first internship! :D I am very excited to be working at the lovely studio Material Lab. And I am also very lucky to be having my material 'Paper-Knotwood' displayed in their studio in the next few weeks. So come and check it out! http://www.material-lab.co.uk/

Jumpstart

This week I have been doing a Business course at CIDA http://www.cida.co.uk/ in the Brick Lane area. This is a great organisation as they have loads of free events and is a great way to meet lots of creative people. I now feel loaded with information and I have a lot to think about!

My New Home

So, it's about time I started using my Blog to keep you, and me, up-to-date with what I'm up to and my new inspiration.

To kick off... I'm very lucky to have moved into London :) A very exciting and scary time but it's great to be in such an inspiring and creative city.
